- Lenovo camera not working? Here's how you fix it - Spacehop
Looking for:
Why is my camera not working on zoom on my lenovo laptop -The light next to the camera still illuminates when I attempt to use my camera, but nothing can be seen on my screen or other persons' screens on Zoom for example.
The computer is a Windows Lenovo. I have updated my computer to its latest settings, checked that all permissions are set to allow use of the camera in settings, and checked that the Integrated Camera is enabled in the Device Manager. Is there another way for me to fix this problem? I understand that you are unable to access Camera on your computer.
Ideally, we face this issue if the Camera is turned off. If you are using a Laptop, you may want to check the keyboard to see if you have the option to enable Camera from the keyboard. However, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the Lenovo article Webcam or camera not working or cannot turn on.
For additional information, see Camera doesn't work in Windows Make sure the correct camera is chosen and that the box beside Turn off my video when joining meeting isn't checked. Reinstall Zoom. If you're using the mobile or desktop versions of Zoom, uninstall the program and redownload it from the Apple App Store, Google Play , or the Zoom website. Alternatively, you can try using the web version. If you're still having trouble with your camera in Zoom, you can still participate in meetings with your microphone or by dialing-in to Zoom.
Some Lenovo PCs have a default feature that prevents Zoom from accessing the camera. To turn off your webcam video on Zoom, select Stop Video from the bottom left of the screen. Other people won't be able to see you. Log in to Zoom, select your profile picture, and click Settings. Select the Video tab and hover over your camera preview.
Select the Rotate button in the top corner until your camera is rotated correctly. To test your camera, log in to Zoom, select your profile picture, and click Settings. Select the Video tab. You'll see a preview video from the currently selected webcam so you can tell your video is working. Thanks, Max. This thread is locked. Install any available, including those not related to the camera, and restart the laptop.
Manually reinstall the camera. Perform a Windows Search for Device Manager and open it. Find the Cameras category in the list of devices and expand it. Right-click on Integrated Camera and select Uninstall Device.
Also, select the Delete Driver Software checkbox. Find the Action menu at the top of the window. Open it and then choose Scan For Hardware Changes. The Integrated Camera should appear again. The steps above should resolve any issues with your Lenovo laptop camera.
If the problem persists, the fault is likely a hardware defect with the camera. Contact Lenovo support for further troubleshooting and repair. If you need a camera sooner than later, consider using an external webcam. When you visit this site, it may store or retrieve information on your browser, mostly in the form of cookies. Why Is My Lenovo Laptop Camera Not Working? Reasons and Solutions.
Recently a problem has arisen where my camera does not work properly on zoom, but if I go to the camera app it works fine. When I'm on zoom my camera is black and white, and sometimes it gets so dark that you cant even see me.
This has happened before, and it went away for a while, but now just a few days ago it came back. I think a camera driver update MAY have caused this, as I noticed this first around the time when I had a handful of driver updates. Does zoom just need to update to this new driver update, or is it a glitch, and if so how can I fix it?

I understand that your webcam is causing problems with the zoom. What version of zoom are you using? What is your webcam model? This problem should probably be some incompatibility of the zoom with your webcam, as the error does not occur in the windows camera application. You mentioned that you noticed this after updating the webcam driver, try to roll back the drive please and check if this occurs.
Select Device Manager; 3. In Cameras, right-click on your webcam, and go to the properties option; 4. Navigate to the Driver tab and click on the Revert Driver button, if available; 5. If the button to reverse is not available, click Uninstall Device; 6. Restart the computer; 7. Access the webcam manufacturer's website, whether integrated with the notebook or USB and download the most current driver.
Install the webcam again to test. I await news. If these procedures helped you in any way, please click on "I solved my problem" and also mark as an answer, so you can help others users.
